Stephen McKay is hosting an ALMA proposal preparation workshop on March 27th, 9am–4pm here at UW-Madison. This event is sponsored by NRAO and designed for all astronomers, in particular for those who do not regularly utilize radio/millimeter data in their research. The workshop will include an overview of ALMA (including new capabilities for Cycle 11), a brief discussion of millimeter interferometry, an overview of the proposal preparation and submission process, and a hands-on session to prepare proposals for the upcoming ALMA Cycle 11 deadline (April 25th).
Registration is free for all participants (in person or virtual; sign-up deadline is March 20th), and if you come in person there will be lunch/coffee provided! More information and registration can be found at this link, or feel free to reach out to sjmckay3@wisc.edu with any questions.
