Notes for Mary Townsend
Mary was alive in 1839. In a letter (1) dated 1st January 1839, Kingston, Canada, to his mother Mary's nephew, Edward Townsend [620], wrote "My last to Hatfield & Kinsale, (to the latter I wrote, & sent newspapers, including a long sheet to Aunt Mary, giving her a long story about Niagara) described the events which have disturbed our usual tenure,..."
