Notes for James Richard Townshend

James was born in Queen's County.

The list of subscribers on page 295 of 'An Officer of the Long Parliament' show James' address as 31 Waltham Terrace, Blackrock, Dublin.

In the April 1901 Irish Census James is shown as a 'Visitor' in the entry for his brother, Thomas Courtenay Townshend [5B02], who was living at Foxrock at the time. James is shown as an unmarried Land Agent. He is not shown in the 1911 Irish Census.

Evelyn Field-Fisher came from Fisher's Bank, Cambridge. A 1893 copy of the society magazine 'The Sketch'(1) shows Evelyn as a member of 'The Field Fisher Quartet' along with Miss Marjorie Field-Fisher, Mr Alfred Field-Fisher and Master Eric Field-Fisher.

(1) The magazine describes itself as "A wonderful insight into theatre, stage, royalty, society, sport, fashion and many other activities of the day - a journal of art and actuality".
