Teaching Resources

I'm involved in teaching the following courses:

In addition, I maintain the following education-related pages:

  • EZ-Web, an on-line stellar evolution code based on Bill Paxton's Evolve ZAMS (EZ) code. I make extensive use of EZ-Web in teaching Astronomy 310.
  • Poly-Web, an on-line code for calculating polytropes — simplified stellar models that obey a polytropic equation of state.
  • A geochron I created, showing the regions of the Earth's surface in daylight and in shadow.
  • MassiveWiki, a (somewhat-defunct) Wiki hosting research documents of the Massive Star Group at the University of Delaware.
  • Extrasolar Planets and the Search for Life, a set of web pages I prepared when teaching a diploma course at University College London. Rather out-of-date now, but they appear to remain popular.
