The MiMeS 5 Workshop
The 5th Magnetism in Massive Stars (MiMeS) Collaboration Workshop will be held at the Pyle Conference Center of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, USA, from 20 to 24 June 2011.
The workshop will bring together MiMeS collaborators in order to:
- present recent observational discoveries
- review data processing and analysis techniques
- discuss theoretical advances in modeling massive magnetic stars
- prepare for upcoming observations
- identify required additional observations using other instrumentation
The workshop has deliberately been scheduled the week before the StarPol meeting (also taking place in the Pyle Center), since there will be a number of people who are attending both events.
All MiMeS participants are welcome and encouraged to attend. Madison in the summer is a great place to visit, and you're sure to have a relaxing and yet scientifically productive time.
