There is a difference in sign convention -- Lee & Saio (and my earlier paper) assume m*nu < 0 corresponds to prograde modes. In GYRE, I adopt the more-modern convention that m*nu > 0 corresponds to prograde modes.

So, for a fixed m, everything is mirrored through nu=0.

Hi all, I was taking a deeper look at the displacements xi_r and xi_h of the eigenfunctions. The documentation states that these are given in units of R_star. But they take values bigger than one. How can this be? Displacements are larger than the stellar radius? Or am I misunderstanding something ...

Finally, to close this off for anywhere else who finds this thread, Rich already fixed this in the development version. I just cleaned up my input file to use Model S's value of G (6.67232e-8) and I get the same radial mode frequencies for the FGONG and the AMDL at the machine precision level. W Ma...

Yep, that sounds like the right fix. Going forward, we might want to add the option to override the FGONG version number in MESA.

In the file header, the version number is given as 1300, indicating that your data should be readable using the Fortran format string (1P,5(X,E26.18E3)) This means that the data should be contained in fields having width 26.
