As I watched, this gigantic cloud grew upwards from behind Mt. Kilimanjaro to reach across the sky. The setting Sun provided low-angle light enough to bring out the incredibly rich textures and produce the colors pictured here. Frustrated with my camera's inability to frame this huge apparition properly, in the end I opted to tilt the view 45 degrees.
