A Mid Infrared Search for Variable Stars in the Milky Way Galaxy

Dr. Robert Benjamin I have greatly enjoyed my time working with you on this project, it has made my experience here at Madison more than what I expected. Thank you Brian Babler for support and any IDL problems I ran into. Thank you Dr. Barbara Whitney, Edward Churchwell, and Marilyn Meade of the GLIMPSE team for the support and positive atmosphere that you have brought to Madison. I would like to thank the entire Astronomy Department for taking the time to advise the babies of physics. The time that you have spent with us all will have greatly paid off in the years to come. To the REU students of 2013, thanks to all of you. This summer has allowed me to realize that physicist can have fun too. I will forever hold the memories of our times together.

Thank you to the National Science Foundation for funding research experiences for undergraduates who have a love for science.
