Procyon is a close binary system with large, bloated primary and a small, redder secondary (called the Puppy).  In relation to the secondary, Procyon itself (never called Procyon A) is infrequently called the Mother.  The irreverant call it the Bitch.  The pair has two planets orbiting on circumbinary trajectories.  There is very little debris (asteroids, comets, etc) in this system.

Significant bodies:

• Australia Station (Procyon I) - Originally a scientific station, this world is now synonymous with Freedom.  The inhabitants are devoted to their rights to:
• freedom of religion
• freedom from excessive government
• freedom to bear arms
• freedom to judge the welfare of oneself and one's kin (includes rights to suicide, drugs, genetic engineering, etc)
This planet is in a wide orbit around the two stars.  It is far enough out that it is a bit cold.  Much of the time, both stars are up at the same time.
• Outlier (Procyon II) - This gas giant orbits far outside of Australia Station's path.  It bears a resemblance to Neptune.
