About Me

I recently completed my Bachelor of Science degree in Physics and Mathematics from the University of Louisville with a minor in Latin. I am now at the University of Wisconsin Madison studying for a Ph.D. in Astronomy, which I hope to finish in 2013. My current research interests are in MHD theory in the interstellar medium and particle astrophysics. Currently, I am working on a continuation of a project from my 2007 summer REU here at Madison with Dr. Stanimirovic and Dr. Lazarian. This project involves applying the Bispectrum technique, which I previously explored for synthetic data to data taken of the Small Magellanic Clouds (SMC). When I'm not busy with Astrophysics I love to travel the world and see new places! I've been to Taiwan, Japan, Italy, Spain, France, Canada, and Indonesia and plan on visiting Hungary in early 2009! Eventually, I hope to combine my love for travel, language, and physics by teaching and doing research in a foreign country.
