About me

I'm a third year graduate student in the astronomy department at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, WI. I hail from the beautiful state of Washington, where I graduated from Whitman College in 2004, with physics-astronomy major and spanish minor. I've worked or attended school in Washington State, New York, Indiana, Scotland and Wisconsin and enjoy taking in as much of the world as I can.

I love the mountains; hiking, cross-country skiing or just relaxing at my family's cabin in the Methow valley and riding and packing in the Cascades at Camp Wahoo! where I worked for several summers.

The flatter terrain of Wisconsin is a new experience for me, but I've found many great outdoor activities here. Check my interests page for more about all the great things to do I've found around here!
