Outline
My work this summer will focus on star 9020 in the open cluster NGC 7789. This star is interesting because it is a double-linespectroscopic binary with an unusually high eccentricity for such a short orbital period. We hope to use Rich Townsend's Twinsyn code to fit synthetic spectra to a series of 9020's spectra (examples here) provided by Katelyn. Ideally, the parameters used to generate the spectra that best fit the data will accurately describe 9020.
