Research Interests:

My research interests include star formation, the interstellar medium and gas flows in galaxies.

After graduating from Carleton College with a B.A. in Physics and Astronomy, I joined Department of Astronomy here at the University of Wisconsin- Madison in the fall of 2011. I work with Professor Snezana Stanimirovic as part of the large EVLA project 21-SPONGE, which aims to investigate the thermal stability of the ISM by coducting a statistically significant survey of the warm neutral medium (WNM). After completion, we will produce absorption spectra in the direction of 59 radio continuum sources, with matching emission spectra from the ongoing GALFA-HI survey at Arecibo. Our results will allow us to assess the fraction of thermally unstable gas in the local ISM, determine the more
