Aug 03, 2017

Graduate student Tim Haines has been awarded a prize from the Institute Franscini and the University of Zurich at the Conference "Thin, Thick and Dark Disks", in Ascona Switzerland, in recognition of the best oral presentation of the Conference. Tim gave a superb presentation on a very controversial topic, the Oort limit problem. Tim took several questions from the audience, including questions from world experts in the field; he answered these so well that the Scientific Organizing Committee decided to award him with the prize. Congratulations, Tim!
