Observations Reveal Critical Interplay of Interstellar Dust and Hydrogen

Sep 26, 2013

A theory devised by Professor Alex Lazarian and former UW graduate student Thiem Hoang (now a CITA Fellow in Toronto, Canada) that dust grains in interstellar space spin and organize themselves in the presence of magnetic fields to precisely align in key astrophysical environments has been confirmed by an international team of astronomers.
