Nick Hill - Best Student Speaker at Bright Emissaries Conference

UW Astronomy grad student Nick Hill took his research to Western University in London, Ontario, Canada for a conference on B-emission (‘Be’) stars, and was awarded top prize as best student speaker for his presentation on Hyper-Spectral Synthesis of Active OB Stars Using the GLaDoS Code


The three-day Bright Emissaries conference brought 70 astrophysicists from six continents to London, ON to share their research into the Be phenomenon.  The conference featured invited guest lecturers, contributed talks, student talks and posters sessions. Awards were given to the best student presenter and the best student poster.
