Jacqueline Goldstein and Logan Jones Share 2018/19 Stebbins Award

It is our great pleasure to announce the winners of the 2018/19 Stebbins Award. This year’s award will be shared by Jacqueline Goldstein and Logan Jones.

The Stebbins Award honors a significant research achievement made during the previous year. In addition, the Stebbins Award recognizes scientific independence, leadership and creativity; external recognition in papers and talks; and ability to communicate research to a scientific audience.

Jacqueline receives the award for her paper on “The Tayler Instability in the Anelastic Aproximation”.

Logan receives the award for his published paper "z~2.5-3 Ionizers in the GOODS-N Field" (2018, ApJ, 862, 142), in which he used deep HST F275W imaging data (27.5 mag at 5-sigma)and Keck spectroscopy to search for potential Lyman continuum emitters at z~3.
