Clair Murray Wins Dissertation Award

UW-Astronomy Ph.D. graduate Claire Murray was awarded the 2017 Robert L. Brown Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation Award by the National Radio Astronomical Observatory, NRAO. Clair received the award for her detailed analysis of the thermodynamic state of neutral gas in the interstellar medium of the Milky Way. Claire performed this work under the supervision of Professor Snezana Stanimirovic and defended her dissertation in summer of 2017.
