Prof. Eric Wilcots, UW-Madison Astronomy Department

"Square-Kilometer Array: The World's Largest Radio Telescope"

UW astronomers are collaborating on what will become the world's largest radio telescope. It will have a collecting area equal to one square kilometer, making it by far the most sensitive radio detector in the world. Professor Wilcots will tell us about the project, its scientific potential, and its Madison connections.

Space Place is the education and public outreach center of the UW-Madison Astronomy Department. If you are interested in attending one of our programs, please follow the link to the right for more information.
