Outgoing Ph.D. Graduates Information

Our graduating students get jobs in a variety of areas. The vast majority of our students stay in the astronomy field, and work as faculty or grant supported research scientists. These plots reflect statistics gathered in mid-2004.

Incoming Graduate Students' GRE Scores

Most of our enrolled students scored 70% or above on both the quantitative and analytical tests. For native speakers of English, the verbal scores are (perhaps surprisingly) a better predictor of success than the Physics test

Diversity in Our Astronomy Department
