Conference venue:

The conference will be held at the University of Wisconsin Fluno Center. This conference facility was built in 2000 and offers a very supportive environment for meetings of this size, including catering and some in-house hotel rooms. The lecture hall seats up to 150 participants very comfortably (it can be configured for larger audiences) in ergonomic chairs with ample access.

Location: The Fluno Center is situated in the heart of the UW Campus (on University Avenue - click here for a campus map) and in downtown Madison, within easy walking distance to the Astronomy and Physics Departments, the Capitol square, and the University Union. Click here for a map.

Catering: The Center will provide breakfast and refreshments starting in the morning before the first session, restocked throughout the day. Lunch will be served at 12:30 after the second morning session and is included in the conference registration fee. A bar with lake view is available for informal discussions in between and after sessions.

Reception: Please join us for the opening reception on Sunday night, 31 May, from 6pm-8pm, in the Skyview banquet room of the Fluno center.

Accomodation:

  1. 1.We have reserved a block of rooms in the Fluno Center. The room rate is $144 per night (including tax) for single occupancy, $164 per night for double occupancy. Parking is available at $8 per day (please reserve parking ahead of time if you plan on using it).

  2. 2.We have also reserved a block of rooms in the nearby Double Tree hotel (within a block from the Fluno Center). The room rate for standard rooms is $159 per night plus tax (single and double occupancy) and $179 plus tax for deluxe rooms (single and double occupancy). Please register using the code “Feedback Conference” to receive the conference rate. Parking is included in the room rate (one car per room).

  3. 3.Finally, we have reserved rooms at the nearby Lowell Center (within a few walking minutes from the Fluno Center) for economical lodging at $89 per night for single occupancy or $99 per night for double occupancy. The banquet will be held at the Overture center on Thursday, 4 June. More details will be available at the time of the conference.
